Frosting the bathroom windows
I made a list of things to do to the house last night (52 things actually) and frosting the bathroom windows was on the list. My master bathroom overlooks our backyard and the street beside my house. When you sit on the toilet, you can stare straight out the door, through the back yard, and see the neighbor’s house. From the shower, everyone can have a view of you when you step out. Not good at all! So we put curtains up but then the room was a bit dark! It had red curtains to start, but one was made in to a headboard and I replaced it with black.
Enter my good friend Susan. Susan and I used to do time together live next door to each other at Whiteman AFB. Her hubby put in for orders to England when we had orders to England and he got them! Then our orders were canceled
They still went to England though and I miss my Susan. Before she left, she gave all her spray paints to me and today I used the frosted one on my windows. It’s not a permanent solution since frosted spraypaint spray can come off, but it works for now!
The key to making it not look awful is lots of little coats. The above photo shows a couple really thin coats of frosting spray. I kept letting one coat dry and then adding another. If you give it enough coats though, it looks pretty good, brightens up the bathroom, AND no one can see you
I have to figure out if I want to frost the top window or not. I’m not sure yet. What do you think?

We’re thinking of doing this is our half circle windows above our front door and living room window. It creeps me out that I have to think about what I am wearing since if there is enough light, you can see me coming down our stairs from across the street (and there is a creepy guy there). Looks good!

I *love* this. So much nicer than the curtains, and I like the top left clear. I’m saving this for my house in Tucson, I would love to have some light in the bathroom, while still enjoying some privacy.

I gotta tell you guys that this one thing made the bathroom seem so much brighter, cleaner, etc. We love it! I’m painting it white next in hopes it’ll be even nicer looking without having to renovated the whole thing right away.

We did something similar in ours, but left the top window unfrosted. Looks good!
