About Us
If you’re reading this page, chances are you’re a little bit nosey… like me!
My name is Amanda. I’m 27 and Geek Details is my little bit of the crafting for money universe.
Geek Details was started via an Etsy store in October 2008. While I still sell via Etsy, I also travel to geeky gamer conventions. I’m just getting in to the convention circuit so if you know of one you think I might like, please email me at amanda [at] geekdetails [dot] com.
Geek Details sells a variety of products, all of which are handmade using not made in China parts. Everything from the hand painted dishes to the pinback buttons has been made in my house by me.
Yes, I really do make every single pinback button I sell. I own a made in Michigan machine and use made in Michigan parts. I design all the buttons at my house, print them on my laser printer, punch out each image, press each button, and package each button in packaging I designed and stuff. It really is a handmade operation.
I own a 90 year old house in downtown Warrensburg, Missouri. We settled down in Warrensburg after my husband left the military. We live here with our two boys, our friend Jordan, and some pets. We tend to do a lot of projects to this old house and hope to turn it in to a something fantastic again. Aside from house projects and Geek Details stuff, I drink a lot of tea, visit local businesses (Particularly Lowes and Cafe Blackadder), throw random parties, and think about my next crafty project.
